YERUSALEM - Seorang tentara Israel dilaporkan menghilang di Jalur Gaza. Hal ini terjadi usai terjadinya pertempuran mematikan yang terjadi di Jalur Gaza pada akhir pekan lalu. Melansir Boston Herald , Selasa (22/7/2014), pejabat pertahanan Israel mengatakan, tentaranya hilang usai pertempuran mematikan di Gaza terjadi pada pekan lalu. Namun, tidak jelas apakah tentara tersebut masih hidup atau sudah tewas. Konflik yang terjadi antara Israel dan Hamas sejauh ini sudah menyebabkan sekira 25 tentara Israel tewas dan ratusan warga Palestina. Sebagian besar korban warga Palestina adalah anak-anak. Memanasnya situasi itu membuat sejumlah desakan gencatan berdatangan dari sejumlah negara dan organisasi internasional. Sebelumnya, Sekretaris Jendral Perserikatan Bangsa - Bangsa (PBB) Ban Ki-moon dan Menteri Luar Negeri Amerika Serikat (AS) John Kerry melakukan pertemuan di Kairo, Mesir.
