Jakarta - Salah satu faktor yang banyak bikin orang jadi gemuk adalah mengonsumsi makanan yang berlebihan dan salah. Untuk itu ketahui makanan apa saja yang ditemui sehari-hari dan bisa bikin gemuk.

"Yang paling banyak bikin gemuk adalah makanan dengan kandungan gula murni dan tepung," ujar dr Pauline Endang, SpGK dari FKUI, Rabu (15/8/2012).

dr Pauline menjelaskan banyak orang yang kadang tidak suka nasi tapi ia suka mengemil. Namun sayangnya cemilan ini makanan yang manis dengan kadar gula tinggi, kadang ada telur dan menteganya sehingga kalori tinggi.

"Makanan-makanan ini tidak bikin kenyang, jadi orang yang mengonsumsi bawaannya ia ingin makan terus apalagi jika ditambah dengan makan gorengan yang kandungan lemaknya tinggi," ungkapnya.

Hal senada juga diungkapkan oleh ahli gizi dr Inge Permadhi, MS, SpGK bahwa makanan tinggi kalori, tinggi gula dan tinggi lemak bisa menyebabkan seseorang mengalami kegemukan.

"Misalnya makanan berminyak, daging yang ada gajih, mentega, margarin, makanan-makanan ini rasanya enak dan gurih sehingga bikin orang ketagihan," ujar dr Inge dari Departemen Ilmu Gizi FKUI.

Berikut ini beberapa makanan yang diketahui bisa menyumbang kegemukan yaitu:

1. Gorengan, mengandung banyak lemak dan juga kolesterol
2. Martabak, mengandung tinggi gula dan lemak
3. Cake, mengandung tinggi gula dan lemak
4. Minuman manis, mengandung tinggi gula dan kalori
5. Minuman soda, menyebabkan timbunan lemak visceral di perut
6. Kerupuk, mengandung karbohidrat dan kadar lemak yang tinggi
7. Es krim,mengandung tinggi gula dan lemak
8. Daging yang masih ada gajihnya
9. Fast food atau makanan cepat saji, kandungan lemak dan kalorinya tinggi tapi cenderung minim nutrisi
10. Keripik, kandungan lemak dan gula dari keripik ini membuat jumlah kalorinya tinggi serta ditambah dengan tinggi garam
11. Sereal manis, mengandung karbohidrat yang tinggi dan ditambah dengan gula yang bisa memicu penimbunan lemak
12. Krim-krim penambah minuman (Whipped cream), mengandung kadar lemak yang tinggi

"Kandungan dari bahan makanan ini bila asupannya melebihi kebutuhan tubuh maka akan diubah dan disimpan di dalam sel lemak dan tentu saja membuat seseorang jadi gemuk," ujar Dr Marini Siregar, MGizi, SpGK dari RS Premier Jatinegara.

Dr Marini menyarankan agar tidak menjadi gemuk yang terpenting adalah keseimbangan antara apa yang dimakan dengan aktivitas fisik yang dilakukan. Jika termasuk orang yang aktivitas fisiknya rendah, asupan makanannya harus disesuaikan tidak boleh terlalu banyak.

"Jangan lupa mengonsumsi air yang cukup agar metabolisme dalam tubuh berjalan dengan baik, serta sayuran dan buah yang mengandung serat tinggi akan membuat kita merasa lebih kenyang sehingga mengurangi asupan makanan yang lain dan tidak akan terjadi kegemukan," ujar Dr Marini.
