Jakarta - Jakarta - Setelah membentuk Timnas, PSSI versi KLB pimpinan La Nyalla Mahmud Matalitti menunjuk Alfred Riedl sebagai pelatihnya.

Pria asal Austria itu sebelumnya pernah menukangi Timnas, namun dipecat pada 13 Juli 2011 akibat kisruh ditubuh PSSI. Dengan penunjukan itu, berarti Riedl akan kembali jadi peramu permainan skuad 'Pasukan Garuda' jelang Piala AFF di Malaysia, November mendatang.

Menurut Acting Sekjen PSSI Tigor Shalom Boboy,  Riedl ditunjuk oleh Direktur Teknik Timnas Benny Dollo yang sebelumnya diberi mandat oleh PSSI  Rabu (8/8/2012) lalu.

"Benny Dollo telah memberikan rekomendasinya terkait posisi pelatih kepala tim nasional senior kepada Exco PSSI melalui Ketua Umum La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti. Posisi pelatih kepala tim nasional senior yg direkomendasikan oleh Benny Dollo selaku Direktur Teknik adalah Alfred Riedl," ujar Tigor melalui rilis yang diterima INILAH.COM, Kamis (16/8/2012).

Tigor mengungkapkan bahwa Riedl sudah menyatakan kesediaannya terhadap penunjukannya sebagai pelatih kepala tim nasional senior. Pria 62 tahun itu akan  tiba di Indonesia pada akhir Agustus 2012.

Setelah itu, Riedl akan langsung menyusun nama-nama siapa saja yang akan masuk dalam tim besutannya.

"Susunan Managemen dan Official serta pemain Tim Nasional akan diumumkan pasca lebaran menunggu konfirmasi pelatih kepala Alfred Riedl," tukas Tigor.

Sebelumnya, pihak PSSI KLB pimpinan La Nyalla menyatakan membentuk Timnas sendiri setelah mandegnya pertemuan Joint Committee PSSI. Menurut pihak La Nyalla, seharusnya pembentukan Timnas dibahas di komite bersama tersebut melibatkan dua belah pihak, antara kubu Djohar Arifin dengan pihaknya.

Piala AFF akan diselenggarakan 22 November hingga 22 Desember 2012 dengan tuan rumah Malaysia dan Thailand. Indonesia akan bermain di Grup B yang bertempat di Malaysia bersama Malaysia, Singapura dan Runner Up babak penyisihan.
