LONDON – Novak Djokovic meraih gelar juara di ajang Wimbledon 2019 kali ini. Petenis asal Serbia itu keluar sebagai juara usai mengalahkan pesaing terberatnya, Roger Federer pada laga final yang berlangsung Minggu 14 Juli 2019.
Persaingan ketat tersaji antara Djokovic dan Federed di partai final. Keduanya bahkan harus bermain hingga lebih dari lima jam di laga final kali ini. Kejar-kejaran poin juga terus terjadi di set pertama hingga keduanya berada di skor 6-6. Akan tetapi, Djokovic akhirnya mampu menang di set pertama lewat tie break 7-5.
Hal serupa juga terjadi di set kedua dan tiga. Seakan tak ingin melakukan kesalahan, kedua pemain begitu berhati-hati dalam melepaskan pukulan. Akan tetapi, Federer yang lebih dominan akhirnya mampu mengatasi perlawanan Djokovic dengan cukup mudah.
